Why Have Your Wedding Professionally Videotaped?

With today’s video equipment you can preserve the precious memories of your ceremony and reception forever-what a wonderful use of this technology!

As capable as a favorite family member or friend may be, consider the work to do a truly professional job. In other words, create a video that you AND your friends and relatives will enjoy viewing. This, along with your photos and mementoes will be the treasured keepsake to help you and future generations recall this very special day – a gathering of friends and relatives from far and wide, celebrating your union.

A seasoned videographer will have the dedication, equipment and experience to deliver a quality product, a product that includes both families, not just the one of which he/she is a member. A Professional videographer will also dress appropriately and act with discretion and sensitivity, avoiding obtrusive, distractive behavior – after all, this is a sacred ceremony, not a media event!

I will use at least two, three-chip cameras, recording in the Mini-DV format as my primary cameras. The “raw footage” from this format is archival quality which means it will maintain its quality for a lifetime or longer. A third camera will also be available and will serve as a backup “just in case” it should be needed. So far, I have never needed it but believe in being prepared. A good Quality wireless mic will also be used to capture every word. These, along with other quality equipment including a professional editing system will help you preserve your day in the best possible way.
